Dors Fine Art

I was born in 1926 in a small market town called Barnard Castle in Teesdale, which is in the North of England. I spent all my formative years there (my parents lived there all their lives). After three years in the army I went to the Bartlett School of Architecture in London where I met my future wife Anthea.  After qualifying in 1951 we got married and have had over 57 years of very happy married life. I moved to  south of England after our marriage and have stayed in our present home in the Chilterns, Buckinghamshire for the last 53 years. I retired from my architectural practice in 1992.

We have three sons and seven grandchildren and one great grandson , aged 6 weeks at the time of writing :). Our middle son Mark married a Canadian girl (whom he met at Medical School in London). He lived in Ottawa from 1979 with his wife and three sons but has recently moved to Calgary. We visit them frequently.

One of our grandsons, Benji, has Down's Syndrome. He is now 19 and lived with us since he was 5 weeks old.  He has been living in a home in Basingstoke since last August but visits us frequently.

My main hobbies are photography, gardening and music.

I have the pleasure to present/display to me, I am Adolph Gutiérrez, and I am a illustrative veteran my characteristic is to be very versatile and I like to illustrate any subject.

My name is Iris, I am coming from Germany. Painting became my hobby 3years ago. I first started with WCP, then changed to pastels. Now myabsolute favorites are CP. I hope to achieve more experience with themto improve my paintings. Another hobby is singing. I am member of 2 church choirs for more than25 years. I like classics, especially organ music from Bach andMendelssohn-Bartholdy. I like to read, go to the movis and theatre. Andof course I like my family! They always support me going ahead when Iam not satisfied with my artwork. They are really great and I love themso much.

I, too, like Doreen (Dors) enjoy drawing. Even though art will always be in heart, right now I'm currently focusing much of my attention on a creative writing course. It's very challenging, but I find it awhole lot of fun, too. I would like one day to try my hand and atmaybe becoming a pro writer. But on that we'll have to see.  

If not now, then when? It's time to try out some things that I've always wanted to do and to follow me heart.

 I've been happily married to a great guy, Jim, for 16 years. We were "adopted" by a cat named Chance about 4 years ago. He owns the place, we just pay the bills:tongue:
